Epic apologized for its mistake and has revealed its plans to rectify the situation.
"Fall Guys" is now free to play on all platforms and then finally launched to Xbox as well as Nintendo Switch last month. It's a fantastic announcement for the title which has led to a revival in the midst of it's two-year mark. The first big issue that was essentially an relaunch was discovered this week , however. Some players complained about that the game would automatically buy items and spending various currencies without their consent.
Epic replied to those reports with a statement sent in TheGamer on Friday. The studio has since publicly apologized and stated the steps it plans to take to correct the wrong on its Official Fall Guys account. "We heard your feedback on accidental purchases - and we're sorry," the tweet reads. Initial emails to customers who had experienced the bug sent out a statement that purchases are final. However, Epic has previously admitted the fact that "customer service response was also not acceptable".
Epic as well as Mediatonic and Epic have provided a list of how they will fix the problem on their Twitter account. All refund requests received since June 21, which was the date the game became free to play, will be honored. The store's design is getting improved to prevent something similar from occurring again. Additionally all customers will get the Grandis skin for free regardless of whether your experience was affected by the glitch or not.
There were several complaints about issues with the Fall Guys store, all of which resulted in customers buying things they don't would like. In one instance, players ended up purchasing the item they were attempting to preview without verifying the purchase or confirming the purchase. Another instance appears to lead players to an item that was not the one they were trying to look at. In some instances, this led to players paying Show Bucks, which tend to be real-world money instead of Kudos which are earned through playing.
From the fun aspects of the game that is designed to appeal to nearly everybody to its casual and humorous presence on social media, it's not often that Fall Guys ruffles players' feathers. This is why it was crucial that Epic handled the issue swiftly and efficiently. It seems to have done the right thing, and hopefully you won't be in danger of purchasing things you don't need.
